Very clear but was not impress with the mid to low bass. Then again all i have to compare them to are the old alpine 6x9 i replaced.Average speaker for average price
This is an average speaker for an average price. It doesnt produce bass that well. It is clear and is probably a good replacement for a stock 6x9.Alpine Type S SPS-69C3 Car Speakers
I purchased these speakers to replace the factory speakers in my car. I had to remove some fiberboard grating in the back window ledge but other than that the installation of the speakers was easy. The sound quality is everything I expected from a Alpine set of speakers. I would recommend these speakers to anyone. I feel that the price was reasonable and the speakers arrived when I thought they would. I give the seller five stars.Alpine type-s 6x9
I had these in the back of my sisters car which i drove for a year, they were great speakers but not outstanding. Since I knew I wasnt keeping the car this is why I put in these speakers. They do sound great for basicly all music, strong mid and bass tones. I do recomend them but i now that i have my own car I am getting the Type-R 6 1/2 upfront and a Type-R 10inch sub. Over all a great speaker. Very nice sound clean and crisp. I did have the ones with the 1 inch tweeter and im sure it made a small differance but nothing noticeable. Sony CDX565MXRF 10-Disc CD Changer/RF Package

Music to my ears
Sony has done it again with this CD changer. We've had this changer for several months now and it has preformed extremely well, really good sound, no jitters, no skipping. It can be mounted in various positions. We have ours mounted vertically behind a wheel well making it easy to reach and out of the way. I like it so much that I'm trying to get my BOSS (the wife) to let me get one for our Pickup truck.one of my worst experiences
after being assured that this product was in stock, I ordered it. That's when my nightmare began. First I was sent a bogus tracking number and when I emailed the dealer about that they told me they would send me another tracking number. I waited and waited but it was not forthcoming, finally began one of several I'm sorry but there has been a delay emails. I explained to them that I was on a time issue as it was for my daughter and she would be returning to college soon and that if they couldn't get it to me in time I would have to purchase another changer locally so I would prefer a refund. I did have to purchase another changer before she left, did not get a refund, received the changer approx 1 week after she left. Will never do business with Dealercost again.Great seller... great product
Received this item really fast. Installed easily.... Only problem I had.... I needed some adapters since my nissan pathfinder has a different antenna outlet.... no big deal... after that, works great... never skips, the time that takes for changing from cd to cd is not that long as some have stated. My Review
It works as it is supposed to if you can plug it in. It may not fit all cigarette lighter sockets ( esp. in sub-compact cars) due to its bulk. It also has a tendency to pop out of some sockets when you hit a pot hole. It fits snug and tight in my Toyota minivan but pops out frequently in my Mercedes SUV.Thursday, September 18, 2008

Great adapter!
I looked around for quite a while for a good ipod adapter for my car. I was tired of the poor sound quality of the tape adapters and FM transmitters and wanted something with good quality that also charged the unit. After hearing of a few items that broke down soon after they were purchased, i tried the Peripheral adapter. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I've had it for about 4 months now and it works flawlessly. I installed it myself and called up technical support for a simple connection question and they helped me right away. I'm not an electrical engineer by any strech of the imagination and I had this thing up and running in under 45 min. Terk Satellite Radio/Pioneer XM Direct Smart Digital Adapter

A very good product, and pretty easy to install.
Rule one: If you are going to buy the Smart Adapter you also have to buy the XM universal tuner box regardless of what brand of car or system maker that you have. They should really try to sell these two parts together because if you have one and not the other it wont work. In this case, im commenting on the Pioneer version of the Terk box. Rule #2: You need an SAT compatible or XM radio branded compatible car stereo for it to work also. And most people's car stereos aren't SAT or XM ready, or prepare to throw down about 150.00 to 500.00 for a decent stereo because the sound quality of these two product (both boxes) combined is really worth the money that you are paying. Some thing to keep in mind is how many text lines the stereo has to read so that you don't need to keep hitting a button to read all of the text that XM puts on their decks, another great thing about the service. The more money you spend, the more lines of text you can recieve at one time and its eaiser to use. General thoughts: When you get all three parts together the sound quality is near CD quality. Its crystal clear and I would know having another XM radio that I use inside of my house and another car that I have. There is a pretty big difference by having it directly ran through your car stereo or big rig as opposed to having it ran through a tuner as the Roady XT. The quality of the sounds is better than good FM reception and the only downside is when you are travling next to tall buildings in a downtown or driving through National parks such as Yosemite. No radio signal is going to travel through block of granite no matter what you conect to your car stereo. While the instructions say that you should have it installed professionally the company gives you installation insturctions inside of the box. As long as you can get the dashboard apart and locate the power to the stereo and have a place to put the two boxes (maybe one in the glovebox and one behind the stereo itself), and of course install the antenna you shoudln't have a problem hooking this thing up. The design is fairly clean overall. Connections are made by removing the fascia shield via the 2 allen head screws allowing access to the terminal strips for connections. The first thing I noticed is the weight. This amp is light. Meaning, there can't be that much inside for a clean performer. Sure enough, this is a plane jane stripped down amp, with limited MOSFETS. Here's the specs: Class D Mono Power Amplifier K-STAT technology Dual sigma drive Dual power supply with two transformers Maximum Output Power: 1200 Watts RMS Power 4-Ohm: 300 Watts x 1 (20-200Hz, 0.5%THD) RMS Power 2-Ohm: 600 Watts x 1 (100Hz, 0.5%THD) RMS Power 1-Ohm: Over 600 Watts x 1 Signal To Noise Ratio: 80dBA (Ref:1 Watt into 4Ohm) Infrasonic Filter: 15Hz, 25Hz, -24dB/oct Bass Bosost ready (Wire remote): 40Hz-100Hz, 0dB-+18dB Low Pass Filter: 40-200Hz (Variable), -24dB/oct OK... Now for the truth. CEA 2006 rating is 1% THD. Meaning it's a Loose noise monster. Secondly...Where's the second power transformer... There sure isn't one on the board. Lastly, do the math. 40A fuse X 13.8V = ~552W peak load before the fuse pops. Generally, this formula works for class AB the best. Digital amps are more efficient. Based on the number of Mosfets...there's no way this amp is getting near 800 or 1200 watts. This looks like a revised layout from the older KAC series amplifiers, with near identical componentry. There is so much sparce space on this amplifier board, there's no reason to have the heat sink this large. The other thing I observed... is the solder joints on the MOSFETS on the amplifier side of the board looked relatively poor and high in flux. Under high load, I would expect a failure condition. If your looking for just cheap sound reinforcement and not worried about quality, then pick this one up. If your looking for Better Regulated, true digital class D, and better overall circuitry...look on to either Xtant (before their MTX aquisition), JL, or Directed.traded old amp a while ago... ended up buying again
i love this amp, never gets hot, real small, high output... i owned this awhile ago but traded my whole setup, and im back again. my previous kac-x10d had screws which would not fit the allen wrench they supplied you with but no big dael i had plenty of tools to fix that issue.ronald f
i replaced my cheezy bazooka 500 rms with this amp ,thought i was upgradeing when i accually downgraded when i turn up the volume i loose the bass amp cutts in and out until i lower the volume therfore cant get full power ,very agrivateing ,also box didnt include the remote witch is the only way to adjust the bass boost and frequncy box had tape covering the label that says remote ,does that make sence ,very unhappy and discuraged ,DONT PURCASE....Kenwood Excelon KAC-X10D Mono subwoofer amplifier 600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohmsamazing sound quality
comparing to my old amp, everything hits harder and strong with this amp. previously the bass would kinda rumble with my old amp but with this in place with the same subs its amazing. it never even warms up even with heavy use like my old one, when you touch the amp its cool to the touch. the only thing i dont like about it which is only 1 problem is that the allen wrench they supply you with does not fit the allen screws which hold the cover plate on its like a size under for what you need. <- which is no big deal because it still works, although my bass makes the screws rattle up and out of the amp because i cant tighten them down as hard as i'd like to. by the way this amp had enough power to unbolt my chimsel lamp and bounce it all around on the back window. <- my solution... threadlockThursday, September 4, 2008
