Satisfactory
Functionally, it works fine and is easy to use. I have three beefs: 1. It isn't really an 800w inverter. It is 700+ watts for a short time and 600+ watts continuous. 2. There are no mounting lugs. I was hoping to mount it on the wall in my motorhome but there isn't really anyway to do that unless I want to trust doublestick tape. 3. The DC input terminals are bigger and clunkier than they need to be which further limits mounting possibilities. It is a decent amount of inverter for the price.Inverter
I expected a bit more from a 800 watt inverter. I only run a laptop and printer. This puts a 40 watt draw on this inverter overheating it after 20 minutes. With my laptop needing a full charge, this inverter is incapable of running long enough to meet this meager demand.truth in advertising
I just recieved this inverter it is a nice compact unit and has a display which is very usefull.OK so why only 3 star rating well i read the entire write up on this unit 800 WATTS is what is advertised.However when i read the manual this is not the case,it will only deliver 640 watts on a constant basis and 750 watts for 5 min.So how is this an 800 watt unit? Toaster? Microwave? No Problem
I purchased this inverter last year to install in our new Lance P/U camper for our trip of a lifetime to Alaska. Let me say the unit worked excellent. I installed the feed cables with #2 AWG after the first attempt with #8 left to much voltage drop to the unit. Like they tell you in the manual, DUH! Anyhow the unit worked flawlessly with our 19" Samsung HDTV, no retrace lines or any interference with the TV reception, something I was slightly worried about because of the "square sine" output of the unit. Using the unit for everyday AC uses, TV, laptop, digi camera and other chargers was perfect. We would often leave it on during our long day trips and everything would be charged when we got to our destinations. And while it did run our toaster and microwave, not at the same time, the unit would "whine" a bit while doing it. It does pull pretty hard on your battery according to your load. What I really like about the unit is the low amp draw in a no load condition, <0.4 A DC. Some other units pull at 1.5a or more in no load. My only wish was that it had a better remote shut off setup. The Xantrex remote SO setup only cuts off the output? Yeah shutin of your stuff does the same thing. But still I think its great.

Make sure you bolt it down!!!!
i got this amp because of the price and then once i had it i couldnt believe the power it had it stays completely cold so dont worry. also this amp is very underrated i used a gain setting chart and it was producing over 1100 watts rms at 2 ohms. i say bolt it down because i got mine jacked in less than a week along with my subs.Excellent Product!!

Just What I wanted
The 10.2" drop down TV/DVD/CD player was just what I needed for my boat. The TV I had bounced around and took up a lot of room. This drop down TV etc. is out of the way & perfect for the boat. ThanksUnder counter TV/DVD/CD/Clock/Radio
I really love this TV/DVD/Radio/CD/Clock/AM/FM Radio and speaker phone. Yes,it is even a speaker phone if you plug it into a telephone jack. It can be used as a baby monitor with a few add ons. The best thing is that it is very slim and compact, you barely see it under the counter until you pull the screen down. It has a 10.2" wide-screen LCD TV. It of course doesn't have the picture quality that a plasma has but it is fine for the kitchen. I love being able to put in a DVD for my grandkids while they eat their lunch and watch the news while fixing breakfast.Audiovox VE1020 10.2" Rocks!
The product is the best deal for you money. It is a great product which delivers on all promises...the hardest part was the installation but that too was made easy with the clear instructions and drilling diagram and mounting brackets...all included. Highly recommend, I doubt you'll find a better product with this size screen for less. Plus service is really good and a reputation to back it up. Would purchase from them again. Received the unit and it almost immediately had video problems. Installation went well and the product looks good. But the screen would blank out after a few hrs of being on and the audio would continue to work. Sent back to seller who promptly sent a new unit. So far so good.Good product

These speakers are very nice, good mid and high range, obviously not much on the low end. The tweeter sticks a little higher than my stock speakers, which required me to clearance the grille a little, but no big deal. Great product for the price and includes Bluetooth
I got this item refurbished by Sony for about $62. So far, it works as expected. I have the LG VX8700 from Verizon and called up people using the Bluetooth. No one complained about the sound. I also tested the MP3 and WMA capability and it plays almost all my files including Chinese songs. Of course, the only problem is that it can't display unicode characters but I'm satified. By the way, you can detached the face plate but it doesn't include a case for it. I wish they would include it. Otherwise, it is a solid product.Terrible Bluetooth
I purchased this because I wanted a stereo with built in bluetooth for handsfree phone calls. I could not make or receive any calls while in my car because the microphone barely worked. Anyone I talked to reported hearing lots of background noise and they could barely hear me at all. There is no way to connect and external microphone. So no solution by way of closer mic placement to your mouth is available I would steer anyone I could away from this one.Blue Tooth Microphone barely works
Everything works great on this unit except for the main feature. I bought the unit from Crutchfield and the the people I called could barely hear me. Crutchfield replaced the unit and I had the same identical problem. Now I am trying the 5000 and it is working a little better, but still not properly. Be ware there is a design flaw with the microphone ...Amazing quality and features at such a low price point!
I bought this receiver for two key features: MP3 CD playback and Bluetooth connectivity. At $170 at BestBuy, I was a little worried that the Bluetooth feature would not be all that great. The microphone is on the unit itself, no special attachment like the higher end Pioneer ones have that clip onto the visor. Well I had nothing to worry about because the Bluetooth feature works like a charm! While driving I tested it out both on the streets and on the freeway and the person on the other end could hear me just fine. They did say that you could tell it was like a speakerphone type sound, but it was very audible and understandable and much better than the MotoT305 and MOTO T505 I had tested out prior. The T505 had a lot of potential since it clips on the visor and has an FM transmitter, but it was a little cumbersome to use and my caller said the Sony receiver call sounded much better. Kenwood Screwed Up Big Time!
I just purchased this unit upgrading from my old kenwood head unit. I found out the hard way that there is some serious issues with this unit. 1. The unit is "Satellite XM/Sirius" Ready, but Kenwood has not released the cables needed to connected the unit to the Sirius unit. So basically if you buy this unit to listen to Satellite radio, you are out of luck until Kenwood releases the proper cable. I called Kenwood Usa support about this and they can't give a reason why the cables are not available, but said they should be available by April 2008. In the meantime I can't listen to my Sirius. 2. The unit claims to be able to play MP3, JPEG photos, and MPEG videos from a USB device (ext USB hard drive or thumb drive). I bought a external USB hard drive and it was able to play MP3s from it but no JPEG and no videos. I emailed Kenwood USA about this and they responded with this: "The DNX-5120 and DDX-512 are currently unable to play MPEGs or JPEGs via USB. We are aware of this issue and currently working on a fix to solve the problem. When the fix is available, we will contact and email you the update." So now I can't play my Satellite radio or play JPEG and Mpeg videos from my USB device! But there is more: This is supposed to also have bluetooth with the optional BT-200 bluetooth unit. I called Kenwood and the Bluetooth add on will not be available until May 2008 according to Kenwood USA. So I can't use my Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, or JPEG, MPEG files! So basically if you are going to buy this unit, wait until May when they are supposedly going to have everything available. I am not a happy customer!Monday, August 11, 2008

Quality is pretty good, however the image is zoomed out a lot. A car behind me may be only a few inches away, but on the screen, it looks like it's a couple feet away. Looks great at nightExcepttional Camera!!!!!!
I had my choice of the audiovox, eclipse and Pioneer. A friend of mine has this camera on his F-350 and recommended it to me. the picture quality is phenominal in the day and even better at night. You will have some blurry spots in the rain( but what camera would not)I would definately recommend this camera to a friend....Night vision is not good.
During day light the picture quality is excellent. During the night is when the trouble comes. Way too dark for catching anything that's near the rear end of my truck unless highly illuminated by street lights or something else.Disapointed

I have had one of these for quite some time and I use it to charge my cell phone. It works great. Every now and then I have to pull it out and plug it back in to get it to work... but it works every time. It makes no noise (unlike the model with higher voltage) because it doesn't have a loud fan. It's a great option for accessories that don't need a ton of power.Car Power Charger

More than a month since i ordered this ....still haven;t recieved itMechanical un-reliable.
Just bought new today at local store. Compact, light, reasonable price, ... It works ... but ... Test the first time: The spring pin is sticky (dc positive node) fail to spring back to original position when removing the inverter out of car socket. Test the second, third time: Even with the spring pin stuck (loosing spring property), electrical function is still working fine. Intend to exchange. Hopefully mechanical defect gone.Think
Things to think about before you buy:<br>Make sure your cigarette lighter socket has enough clearance around it to accomodate this large of an adapter.You may need one with a cord with the plug on the end to fit in your vehicle.<br>Make sure your intended use won't overload this adapter. Kenwood Excelon KDC-X792 CD receiver
Great Stereo
I bought this receiver and installed it immediately into a 99 Mazda Miata. I had previously replaced the stock Bose system with an aftermarket setup and the latest stereo was last years high-end Pioneer (not tip top, but close). I wasn't as pleased with the pioneer as i had hoped to be, so I had been looking for a new stereo and found it in Kenwood! The ONLY thing that my Pioneer had that this doesnt is ASL (auto sound leveling) which allows the stereo to increase/decrease volume levels based on the noise in the cockpit. Meaning as you get on the highway, the volume increases to give the same 'sound' as what you could hear parked or in residential streets. The things I LOVE about the Kenwood vs. Pioneer: 1) There is a 1 button pause on the kenwood, on the pioneer its hidden in several layers of menus. 2) 1 button random -- same as above. 3) Customize the display ---- and I mean really customize it! 4) Less cluttered display 5) Sound quality seems slightly better to me (running thru component blaupunkts in the doors and added 3.5 in blaupunkts to the windblocker 6) Customize the sound -- hi-pass settings/crossovers/hell, even send separate audio to the rear. 7) USB and aux plugs (and uncluttered as they go thru the rear) 8) has G-Force analyzer for est. HP and g rating and acceleration 9) bluetooth/cell/and a few other things i dont have a use for 10) tuner picks up WAY more than my pioneer did, even where i work where it's tought to pick up stations Overall, I am seriously impressed with this unit! I bought this for my houseboat to run the satellite system, TV's, fans, etc... It has worked out really well after two summers on the boat. We are able to run a couple fans (12"), the satellite system (self pointing), and a TV. With all this running, we still have enough juice to fire the microwave up if we need to. My only setback was that I thought this would power my coffemaker. Apparently my coffeemaker requires a little more than this will handle. Overall, I love this thing and would recommend it to anyone with similar needs.great price

This is a huge power converter. Do not consider it unless you plan on running it from 2 auxiliary battery's. The product works flawlessly when hooked up to the right system. The cooling fan is not loud at all. It has a voltage meter and will fault and shut off when the voltage runs to low so you will not be stuck with a dead battery in the middle of no where. This inverter runs a heavy duty inflator (electric motor) with an enormous starting load - the full 3000 watts. I emailed Xantrex for the max time for the 3000 watt (RMS) startup and the reply indicated 1/10 second and it delivers. I have monitored it with an o-scope. The inflator draws about 18 amps after the initial surge then tapers back to about 12 amps. The inverter is rated at 1750 watts for 5 minutes then 1500. I'm very happy with it. My setup is 1/0 cables about 6 feet long bolted to the battery terminals with an Tyco/AMP disconnect and fuse. THE radio for no frills XM
If you're looking for XM radio at home or car, this will fit the bill. I use mine as a component to my home stereo, and I drag it out to the car for trips. It works well both places. It is important to note that XM service is equal no matter what receiver you use. Why anyone would buy anything but this model is a mystery to me. The unit has not broken on me, and it seems rather hardy provided you handle with care. One bad thing about this product is that it does not come with a wall adapter, which makes its home use prohibitive without purchasing one a la carte.Great little XM receiver
I just bought 2 of these: One for home, one for office, both to be used with a docking station. I have no complaints at all, except for the fact that you cant manually enter in the station numbers, like I can do on my roady. I have wanted XM for a long time, and I found that this unit may be inexpensive, but gives me the access and features I need. It has 10 preset favorites, bright lcd screen that displays artist and song (or baseball scores), built in fm broadcast if I'm not able to directly connect it to the car I'm in by auxilary jack, and fm sureconnect kit for better non aux connection. This also uses many of the Xpress family accessories such as the boom boxes, bonus (Altec Lansing XM3120 Docking/Speaker System for Audiovox Express and Delphi Roady XT or Audiovox XMB-10 XM Boom Box for Xpress XM7 Satellite Radio Receiver) There is some fuzz using the fm transmitter at times, but that is a hazzard of that feature if you are traveling. Utilizing the Sure connect feature virtually eliminates any crackle in the transmitter. In some cities the fm frequency are more clean than others, so that also effects performance also. Overall, the most bang for your buck if you just want access to enjoy XM.Unreliable
I bought one of these for my wife, it worked for about a week before it died, always displaying an antenna error message. (I tested her antenna with my radio and it was fine.) The second one also only lasted a week before it died, always displaying "loading" and emitting a high pitched whine. It's also hot to the touch. This was my third radio in three years. I bought this one after my Roady XT died after two years. I bought the Express because it was inexpensive and I'm growing tired of putting money into radios every few years. The first radio lasted less than a month. My Express EZ had static no matter what empty station I tuned to. It even had static when changing channels. When I drove out away from the city it got a little better. It seemed to also have a weak re-transmitter because my car radio had difficulty picking up the signal from the Express at the dash board to the rear window were my car's antenna was. The re-broadcast signal would fade out a lot. All the time I would have a solid 3-bars of down link signal. I never had these problems with the Roady. After two days of trying different channels and antenna locations I took the radio back to Best Buy and got my money back. I ordered another Roady through Amazon for the same money, and I'm currently awaiting delivery. Depending on how this new (and 4th radio) does, I might just cancel my XM subscription, and be done with the whole Sat-radio thing. I was fairly content with sat-radio, (even though it seems to go up a few dollars more every year) before these problems. Worked well in the car and the house (with the home kit) but I'm not buying new radios every few years, and I'm not going to buy stuff for my stuff, like power boosters etc. - BrianKenwood Excelon KDC-X492 CD receiver

The Excelon series is Kenwood's finest. This stereo gives you USB input, is bluetooth ready and has an aux in plug. It also comes with a remote and is easy to use. I highly recommend buying one if you're looking for a reliable USB car stereo for a great price.Tuesday, August 5, 2008

I got this for my 07 Sport Trac. As soon as I got the car I dumped the standard stereo for a Kenwood 6019 but didn't get the Nav part until recently. Now I have it I can't believe I waited so long, I bet we save the price of the Nav in Fuel because now my girlfriend isn't getting lost any more!!!!!Fun learning about the Navigation

Works great, but gets very hot
This power supply worked just fine for me on various occasions, until I lost it in a move. The only issue with this adapter that I've had is that it does get very hot, hot enough to melt the plastic in which they provide those pillows and blankets. I'm trying out a more powerful adapter I found at Costco for about the same price. If you don't have a Costco membership or you need one fast, I'd definitely recommend this.PowerLine - don't buy it!
Used my Powerline Inverter the first time on a 747 in a First class seat yesterday. The unit did not work in my Empower seat outlet, nor did it in any others in First class. The connection fit in the socket, so it wasn't that. I tried every possible way to adjust the connection - no luck. The green button on the inverter never lit up. What a waste of $20. Does a good job
I bought this HD tuner to go with the Pioneer DEH-3000IB head unit. I expected to lose all analog signal completely. I was pleasantly surprised! Not only am I getting all available HD stations, but am getting great analog reception as well(even without a splitter and manually switching signal mode). This was well worth the price of admission. Stations coming in HD sound incredible! I can't wait for some other local stations to get on board (and they've told me that they are soon). Easy to install and compact enough to fit easily inside the dash or out of the way with the provided velcro strips. The ibus cable and the power wires are sufficiently long to support an installation that can't be done near the head unit. TV is making the "big switch" and radio just got better.Buy only if you MUST have HD Radio...
The built in analog tuner is less sensitive than the tuner in the base radio, so I lose sensitivity in order to gain HD. I have tried the splitter so I can take advantage of the analog tuner and the HD tuner at the same time, and the analog tuner does not work while the HD is plugged in to the deck. HD tuner is not as sensitive as the tuner in my older JVC HDR1. HD2 and HD3 stations that came in fine with the JVC do not come in as well with the this unit. If I didn't have the JVC I might be satisfied, but since I know there is better I was definitely let down. The install is straight forward, and it works, but unless you NEED HD I would skip this add on, or get a JVC Deck with the HD built in to the Deck.Disappointed
Can not store presets when using the GEX-P10HD in conjunction with the 9800BT head unit. Will not display frequency if radio station is broadcasting ID (KYOT shows instead of 95.5). The tuning is slow and I can no longer use the original FM tuner (unless I unplug the HD unit) since the antenna can only go one place. I could install a splitter but, I would be cutting signal strength in half and, since I travel often, don't want to sacrifice range. I thought Pioneer would be more polished than this. I bought this to use with my Pioneer AVIC-D3 navigation. It works as advertised, as an external device so it is not perfect, but is easily usable from the AVIC touchscreen. The presets are stored by number only for reference but you cannot store a HD2 station. If you do it tunes to the HD1 station and you have to tune up manually to HD2. The HD station quality is noticeably better than standard FM and when you tune it first plays FM then switches to HD in a few seconds. The digital text broadcast is only 8 characters but is usable. If you listen to a lot of FM radio and want to get extra HD stations then you'll need a HD tuner. This is a good solution for adding that to your existing radio. This Products does not work on the avhp5700dvd bought,it with the cd-ub100 and the screen says N/A and it doesn't work. Would not waste your money on this.Perfect
I ordered this item not expecting much but thought it might be at least functional without spending $100 and disassembling the dash again. surprise, surprise, it works great, I can control the IPOD (touch) from the head unit, get full display of song and artist, and it charges the IPOD to boot. Highly recommend.
